Who was Megan Hamilton? Riverdale, Utah Missing Person Found Dead
A woman who went missing in Riverdale, Utah identified as Megan Hamilton has been found dead in a tragic turn of events.
Hamilton went missing around 4:30 p.m. on Monday, June 24th.
A day later, a sad update emerged that she had been found, but unfortunately, she was no longer alive.

Hamilton disappeared Monday afternoon around the Walmart in Riverdale, Utah.
The 38-year-old’s car was found empty by police and an alert was sent out as a search for her commenced.
Distraught friends and family jumped on social media to commence a search.

One Dan Isle wrote on Facebook: “EMERGENCY NOTICE: One of my friends is lost! She’s the mother of the best friend of our children. Megan Hamilton is lost! 38 years old 5’4″ 230 lbs last seen wearing Black t shirt and blue jeans with a grey backpack. Police found her car was found empty on 6/24 at 4:30 at Riverdale, UT Wal Mart. Please help us find her!!!,”
About a day later, Isle provided an update, a pretty sad one.
“Update: “It is with heavy hearts that we let you know she has been found, but she has passed away. Please pray for her husband and 2 children and extended family that have been left behind. Thank you all for sharing this post so far and wide! Your efforts likely helped her to be found quickly, so the family could get some closure,” he said.
Hamilton, of Roy, was an Assistant Professor in Teacher Education at Weber State University in Ogden, Utah.
She was previously a Secondary and Middle School science teacher in Jordan and Tooele County School Districts, respectively.
Hamilton graduated from Weber State University with a Bacherlor’s Degree in Biology Composite Teaching in 2011 and continued to acquire both her Master’s and Doctorate degrees from the Utah State University.
