Sonnys Plans To Keep Drew In Prison But Will Carly Figure It Out?
General Hospital (GH) Spoilers reveal Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) will stop at nothing to try to get Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) out of prison before his three-year sentence is up.
The judge came down so hard on Drew in an attempt to make an example out of him just when Drew thought he was doing the right thing by taking the plea deal.
Now, Carly has commissioned Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) — who thinks she might be able to find some bias lurking in past rulings from this judge — but Diane isn’t expecting what she’s going to find when she starts poking around.
Who will she go to for answers first — Carly, or Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard)?
General Hospital Spoilers — Carly Spencer Is Desperate And Drew Cain Is Content
Carly can’t wait to have Drew back home with her, but he’s not so idealistic. Drew has made peace with the sentence he was given and is trying to acclimate himself to the new world he will be living in for the next few years.
Carly, on the other hand, hasn’t given up hope. She doesn’t want her world where Drew isn’t present, and she’s bent on getting Diane to help them find a way out of this.
A recent conversation between the ladies sparked some theories that there could be an argument lurking in the judge’s past that may shine light on some of the reasons he rendered such a harsh and unnecessary sentence that isn’t in accordance with courtroom norms.
General Hospital Updates – Diane Miller Does Some Digging
Diane is eager to start digging into this judge’s past to unearth any potential evidence she can to support the argument that he was acting with bias against Drew.
But it’s not going to be as easy as Diane had hoped. What should be a fairly black-and-white task will be muddied by how much this judge’s past overlaps with someone else’s she knows all too well — Sonny’s.
A Tight Spot
When Diane realizes the judge may have rendered the sentence he did because someone — okay, not just someone, but Sonny — paid or otherwise influenced him to, she’s going to be stunned.
Diane won’t hesitate to bring this to Sonny’s attention, but it’s not likely that she will rat him out to Carly. After all, the privilege of privacy she offers
Sonny seems to wipe out any sense of duty or obligation she has to anyone else. But this is her friend. Diane loves Carly, but she has to put her own client’s needs ahead of Drew’s in this case.
Will Sonny come clean and tell Carly what he’s done, or will Diane be forced to keep quiet about her theory — that the don may fail to confirm?
Where will this leave Drew, and might his stay in prison lend Sonny more access to Carly just as he had hoped? Stay tuned for more GH news and spoilers just ahead to see how this shakes out.
