LONDON (CelebrityAccess) — Singer-songwriter Lana Del Rey confirmed via social media that she was facing a copyright infringement lawsuit from Radiohead over her song “Get Free.”

“It’s true about the lawsuit. Although I know my song wasn’t inspired by Creep, Radiohead feel it was and want 100% of the publishing – I offered up to 40 over the last few months but they will only accept 100. Their lawyers have been relentless, so we will deal with it in court,” the singer tweeted on January 7th.

Del Rey, along with co-writers Kieron Menzies and Rick Nowels, are credited on ‘Get Free’ which came from her most recent album “Lust For Life” which topped the charts in both the U.S. and UK when it was released in July 2017.

Radiohead has not commented on the lawsuit but this won’t be the first time the band has gone to court over ‘Creep.’ The band was successfully sued by Albert Hammond and Mike Hazlewood of the Hollies who claimed that Creep plagiarized the Hollies 1969 hit “The Air That I Breathe.”

Del Rey recently told an audience the lawsuit could lead to “Get Free” being removed from her album.
