Drake & Migos Double Bill Tour Postponed Again, Drakes Tour Bus Towed
KANSAS CITY, Mo (CelebrityAccess) — The North American tour by rap stars Drake and Migos’ which should be one of the hottest tickets of the summer, has been delayed again.
The tour was due to start at the Sprint Center in Kansas City on August 10th but has been pushed back two days and will now take place on August 12th.
“Due to production issues, the Aubrey and the Three Migos Tour is postponing the Kansas City and St. Paul dates. Tonight’s Kansas City show is rescheduled for Sunday, August 12. The St. Paul show is being postponed with a new date soon to be announced. All tickets will be honored for the new dates,” a tweet from the Sprint Center said on Friday afternoon.
While the Sprint Center did not elaborate on the nature of the production delays, it might have something to do with Drake’s tour bus being towed.
TMZ reported that the bus, which is not used by Drake himself, but by his production team, was towed from a hotel parking lot early Thursday morning.
Kanas City law enforcement officials told TMZ no citations or arrests connected to the bus, but the publication noted that it might have been repossessed as repo companies in Missouri are not required to inform the police when they reclaim a vehicle.
A rep for Drake told TMZ that the rapper did not own the bus and that it was a rental used expressly for touring.
The delay is the second such setback for the tour, which was originally supposed to get underway on July 26. At the time, a spokesperson for Drake said the tour had been postponed in order to “deliver the high standard tour experience our fans expect and deserve.”
However, the cancellation came just days after Migos member Offset was arrested in Georgia in connection with guns and drug charges.
